As with every skincare product review, I’m going to start off by letting you know what skin type I have so you can keep that in mind when you’re listening to me talk about how well a product performed for me because I feel like that’s always important to know. I’m sure you’re used to hearing me say that I have combination-oily skin that is super acne prone but now that it’s winter my face has decided to switch everything up on me. Suddenly my t-zone is super dry, specifically my nose. It’s starting to get dry and scaly and I’m battling a lot of dry, flaky skin so to deal with that I’ve had to switch up my whole routine. The absolute best way I’ve found to fight off flaky skin (besides loads of moisturizer, of course) is to use a gentle exfoliator regularly. I just started using this limited-edition Holiday exfoliator from Jan Marini Skin Research and I’ve become obsessed, it’s completely changing my skin!
I’ve just started using this Exuviance Detox Mud Treatment from a brand called NeoStrata and I really love it so far! This is my second time trying something from NeoStrata and it definitely lived up to my expectations. It came on time, nicely packaged, and looked exactly like the pictures online and has been helping me out so much. Before I get into why I love this mask so much, I have to be honest about why I’m even trying it in the first place…
I just started using these face masks from Health and Pure a few weeks ago and I’m loving them so far! They came on time, nicely packaged, and looked exactly like the pictures online. The packaging is nice and I have to say.. I LOVE the scents! Most natural face masks I’ve tried smell earthy or just strange and chemically but these ones smells natural and fresh, they’re really pleasant. Continue reading →
Just got this Quick Comeback Masque from Alana Mitchell and I really liked it! It was super different and fun to use and I would probably try it out again. It came on time, nicely packaged, and looked exactly like the pictures online.
Okay let me start out this post by letting you know (in case you’re not sick and tired of me talking about my face yet) that I have combination skin that is definitely acne prone. I’m oily to normal but definitely lean more towards oily depending on the day and what products I’m using. The more oily I get, the more acne I get so I’ve really been trying to focus on combating oils and keeping acne at bay lately.
I’ve been doing some research about it and I found out that a lot of the harsh chemicals and exfolients I’ve been using are likely making matters worst for me. Apparently, the rougher you are to your skin, the rougher it is on you! So I decided to start going a different route and completely switch up my skincare routine. I even got rid of my beloved electric face brush and switched back to using my plain old fingers. I was worried that all of this was going to be for nothing and my skin was going to get worst because I wasn’t using all of my acne products and exfolients anymore but it actually started to get better. I was definitely a lot less oily and I noticed less breakouts but the problems didn’t go away all together, they only got a little better. That was until I found these two products from Jan Marini. I’ve used her Vitamin C serum in the past and I absolutely loved it (and still use it to this day because I haven’t found anything I like more yet) but I hadn’t tried anything else up until the beginning of this month when I was sent the Clean Zyme Cleanser and Skin Zyme Mask and I could NOT be happier with them!
I’ve been using this SKIN ACTIVE Intensive Eye Therapy from NeoStrata for a few weeks now and I really love it so far! I’ve never tried anything from NeoStrata in the past so I wasn’t sure what to expect but this product honestly blew me away! It came on time, nicely packaged, and looked exactly like the pictures online. It has a really nice pump, which you know I prefer because it’s much more sanitary and easy to use. Just be careful because it dispenses more than you’ll probably need for a single use unless you have extremely dry under eyes. I have oily skin and I don’t usually need a lot of hydration anywhere on my face. I know your under eyes don’t really product natural oils but somehow the oil always ends up under my eyes anyway so I’m not worried about dryness and I only use half a pump for both eyes. It looks like a white-ish gel and has a very strange consistency that I’ve never seen in an eye product. It feels very thick and luxurious like an expensive moisturizer for dry skin so I was worried it might not be good for me but it wasn’t heavy or greasy at all. When you rub it between your fingers it feels almost like a silicone makeup primer that’s meant to blur your pores but not slippery, either. It’s hard to explain but it feels like heaven when you start to blend it out on your eyelids and under eyes. It spreads out evenly and smoothly, doesn’t irritate my skin, and leaves my under eyes feeling super hydrated without any oiliness or stickiness.
